Bloopers & OuttakesThe “Outtakes” it takes for bakers to make a video
This is what it takes to make a crowdfunding video on a bootstrap budget!
After 3 hours of footage, 15 hours of editing, and a whole lot of laughs, this is what it takes for bakers to make a Kickstarter campaign video. We’ll be sharing our campaign video with you soon, but first wanted to have a good laugh at ourselves, and thought you might enjoy it too!
So what is “Crowdfunding” and why Kickstarter?
Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising many small amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the Internet. It has become increasingly popular over the past few years to help small established businesses expand, or for someone with an idea to get it off the ground through community support.
For this next chapter of our business and creating a dedicated Voyageurs Sourdough Bakehouse, we have chosen to try to raise funds both with Kickstarter, and a small business loan. When raising funds on Kickstarter, you have to meet your fundraising goal in order to get the funds. There are other platforms that allow you to keep whatever you raise, but we wanted to go all in, and make sure we meet our goal.
There will be exciting rewards including exclusive experiences, merchandise, and contribution to the community in exchange for your support.
All the details will be revealed on Wednesday, May 15th!
Until then, please like and share this video to help us spread the word about this exciting time in our business.
