3 reasons to love the Take & Bake Cinnamon Rolls

Yesterday I woke to the smell of cinnamon rolls baking in the house... and my two girls crawling into my bed.

Let me tell you, there is nothing like it.

There was a crisp air flowing through my window on a beautiful sunny autumn day. It was hard to leave the coziness of my bed, but the smell of cinnamon rolls baking lured me into the kitchen.

As Celeste was pulling the rolls out of the oven, my daughter Vivienne looked at me and asked, "Daddy, want to paint the sticky buns with me?"

My heart.

"Of course my darling."

Starting a weekend morning this way is more than just a delicious bite of a cinnamon roll; it fills me up in a way that food by itself isn’t able to. When I thought about this more, I realized there are 3 main reasons why I love the Take & Bake Cinnamon Rolls...

1. Interactive food experience

To be able to start a weekend morning bonding with my child as we paint sticky buns together is a true gift. For those 10 minutes, every other care in the world is paused, and I get to focus on this delightful food moment with my inquisitive daughter. This is true bliss.

It's in these moments that I stop and realize how our Voyageurs' mission is impacting my own child's life, right in front of my eyes.

The Take & Bake Cinnamon Rolls also provide an opportunity to learn together. We talk about proofing, how long to bake, and why we “paint” the rolls as soon as they come out of the oven.

2. Bring a little hygge into your home

Have you heard this term? Hygge?

It's a buzzword at the moment, but as defined by the Oxford Dictionary, hygge is "a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being."

Much more than simply candles and cozy blankets, the concept of hygge focuses on creating joy and contentment in the everyday moments of our daily life.

In my opinion, the experience of waking up on the weekend to the sweet smell of warm cinnamon wafting through the house is true hygge.

3. Gather & share with people you love

This is why we made the Take & Bake Cinnamon Roll. To bring everyone together around the table at the same moment to dive in and share the warm bliss of a pillowy and perfectly sweet cinnamon roll.
